10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Curry House Coco Ichibanya, Tokyo

We were pretty much famished after our fun moments at Tokyo Tower even though we had eaten the famous Marion Crepes. So, when we came back to Shinjuku, where we stayed, we immediately searched for a place to eat. That's when we saw the yellow sign of Curry House Coco Ichibanya. The image of Japanese curry and rice immediately lured us into the restaurant. Hahaha.

We actually have Curry House Coco Ichibanya in Singapore but oh well, nothing should beat the original right? The menu at Curry House Coco Ichibanya in Japan is more extensive that the one in Singapore. There are some dishes which I have never seen in Singapore's menu before.

The menu comes in different languages too. I suppose this is because Curry House Coco Ichibanya has gained fame internationally and it is often visited by tourists from different countries. The restaurant staff can speak English too. This makes ordering way easier.

There were not many people inside the restaurant at 3PM on a weekday. Well, I guess this is understandable as most people supposedly stuck in their office cubicle at this timing.

One of the glaring difference between Curry House Coco Ichibanya in Singapore and in Japan is the one in Japan has salad. But I really doubt the "health" aspect of the salad as apparently the Japanese loves their salad drenched in mayo.

Coco Ichibanya is a curry house and it offers curry sauce at different spicy level. I usually take level 2 as it is considered already spicy enough for me. If you like your curry super spicy, you can increase your level accordingly. My curry comes with pork katsu. Yum!

While my travelling buddy's come with two pieces of potato croquette. Tastes good too but I need my meat. Hahaha.

If you don't want to have so much rice, you can reduce the portion of the rice and the price of your meal will be cheaper accordingly. Curry House Coco Ichibanya serves good curry and if you really love Japanese curry, you should really give it a try.
